ABOUT
Why Cogmosis exists.
Complex organizations do not have an information problem. They have an understanding problem, and it is a structural one.
Organizations rarely suffer from a complete absence of information. More often the information exists, but it is divided among systems, documents, machines and people.
A machine records behavior. A system records the transaction. A document records how the job is supposed to be done. A person carries judgment that was never written down anywhere. Then a decision gets made, work gets carried out, and something is found that either confirms or contradicts what everyone believed. Almost none of that stays connected.
So the next person to face the same question starts at the beginning, and the organization pays again for something it already learned.
Cogmosis is being built around a simple idea. Understanding comes from connecting those pieces without losing where they came from.
From exposure to understanding.
Where we are.
Cogmosis is early, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise. This site describes the problem we are addressing, the principles the platform is built on, and how it is designed to work.
If you run an operation where this problem is familiar, we would like to hear how it shows up in your plant. That conversation is more useful to us at this stage than any pitch would be to you.
