PRINCIPLES

What we will not do matters as much as what we will.

These are design commitments rather than marketing positions. Each one costs us something, which is how you can tell we mean them.

Intelligence is not authority.

A system can investigate, reason, assemble evidence, identify relationships, surface uncertainty and recommend. None of that grants permission to act. Where a decision carries operational, quality, financial or safety consequences, the accountable person stays the decision maker. We treat that separation as a strength.

Knowing when you don't know is part of knowing.

There is a difference between the evidence indicating no, and there not being enough evidence to decide responsibly. Most systems quietly collapse the two. Cogmosis is designed to keep them apart and to say plainly which one it is looking at.

Intelligence close to the work.

Designed around private and local operation, on premises, at the plant edge, and inside controlled infrastructure, including environments with restricted connectivity. Organizational knowledge should stay within the boundary that owns it.

Models change. Understanding should compound.

Models will be replaced, vendors will change, hardware will be retired. The durable asset is the accumulated evidence, provenance, relationships, human knowledge, decisions and outcomes. It should still be worth something after the technology underneath it has turned over, and it belongs to the organization rather than to a model.

Human experience is evidence with provenance.

The most valuable troubleshooting knowledge in a plant was never written down. It can be held alongside machine data and formal documentation, attributed and timestamped, without being treated as automatically true.

Every outcome becomes part of what you know.

A signal leads to an investigation, the investigation leads to a recommendation, a person decides, work happens and something is found. Only then does the organization learn whether the original understanding was right. That outcome is evidence for the next investigation.

What we do not claim.

Cogmosis is early. We do not publish adoption numbers, deployment counts, customer names, accuracy figures or predicted savings, because we are not in a position to support them. Scenarios on this site describe how the platform is designed to work and are labeled as illustrative rather than presented as customer outcomes.

We do not claim regulatory certification or compliance that has not been established, and we do not describe any system as unhackable, perfectly secure or risk free. When we can support a stronger statement, we will make it.
